How do I keep a competition swim suit in good condition for a long time?
I swim on a swim team and I want to know how I can keep my suit in good condition for a while. My last one doesn't look so great...

- no peeing in the pool
- rinse in cold water after you use it, and when you wash it make sure its in cold water. dont put it in the dryer. use a different suit for practicing in.
- If it is a special suit, such as a fast skin, then u probably shouldnt wear it too often. I would suggest only wearing it to the "big" meets. If u have a practice suit and want to keep it in good condition, i would rinse it after each practice in cold water. Also, u can buy a special mixture made for getting the chlorine out of ur suit. good luck
- Well i was going to say the same thing as Cara so id do what she said i two am an ex swimmer
- Only wear the suit when you need to race. If you want a lot of time out of the suit I'd say swim warm ups with another suit and then change into the new one for your races. I'm trying to get some time out of my current race suit but I'm not going crazy over it myself but as for the cold water thing as mentioned I've honestly never tried it. Of course any water will get some chlorine out but as for the cold part I honestly couldn't tell you anything about that. Oh, and another thing: don't keep the suit in your bag or any place like that, keep it where it won't get stretched out and it also won't get faded out. You should probably fold it and put it in a safe place in a locker I'd say, that way it won't get faded from overexposure to light.
- Whatever you do don't wash it. Every time you use, it rinse it out with cold water and let your suit hang dry. Because the material that makes your swimsuit faster can deteriorate.
- rinse in cold water after use, not wash
