Racing Swim

Is it okay to wear racing swimwear (speedo) in public? I was never on the swim team but I like to wear my small black speedo bikini under my board shorts for security. I never had the courage to wear it in public. I am in my upper teens and I have a lean somewhat muscular body so its not like I will look bad. Im worried my friends might make fun of me. What do you think? is it OK if i wear it?

How much of a time difference would competitive swimwear make compared to board shorts? ? say in a 50m/yd race... If you have tried finding this out to get a time difference can you tell me how many seconds the swimwear shaved off?

Swimming and triathlons question on men’s swimwear…? Hi, looking into doing some long distance swimming races. I plan on starting off by doing an indoor triathlon. Not interested in purchasing a wetsuit. I don’t think you are allowed to use them in long distance swims. Is there certain swimwear you prefer, and what works best?

Which swimwear for men is fastest/has least resistance? Apart from racing suits. Briefs, Aquashorts or Jammers? And would plain ones without any logo or graphics stuck on have less resistance? From www.speedo.com

competitive swimwear question? my racing suits are now worn out and i'm just about to get a new one. however, i don't feel as if the aquablades and other racing suits i have worn have really impacted my swims or times. so i would like to get a suit that isn't a technical one but that could still be used as a racing suit. what materials should i look for in these swimsuits, and any suggestions?

Why are girls(kids) in advertisements...? Why are girls in ads for clothes always skinny, pretty, and are white or black? How can I prevent erections at a swim meet? I'm 13 and yesterday I was competing at a swim meet, and our required swimwear is speedos. And as I was going for my next race, I got onto the starting block and I popped an erection that shot straight up, and everyone is looking at me. My friends keep making fun of me, what do I do? How do I prevent another erection like that? How do I get my friends to stop teasing me?
